Scouts BSA Advancement
Merit Badges
In order to advance through the Scouts BSA program to Eagle Rank, Scouts must complete a total of 21 merit badges. Thirteen of those must be Eagle required merit badges. Donald E. Scott Colorado Adventure Point understands the importance of making sure that requirements are met and the Scout understands the information presented.
According to the Guide to Advancement, Scouts taking a merit badge class are required to talk with the Scoutmaster regarding the badge, and receive a signed Blue Card to bring to class.
Please note the following for all merit badge courses:
- Lunch in not included, except where posted. Scout must bring a sack lunch and a beverage.
- Scout is required to attend all sessions to earn credit.
- Fees will not be prorated for partial completion of credit.
- Please bring paper and pencil.
- Please bring a signed BSA Health Form at check in.
- Please wear your full uniform at all Merit Badge Colleges and classes with the exception of Spring Forward to Eagle courses.

Colorado Adventure Point is home to Merit Badge Colleges at the Denver Area Council. Whether colleges are held here at Colorado Adventure Point in Lakewood, Colorado or at one of our many District events through the metropolitan area, www.ColoradoAdventurePoint.org is your "one stop shop" for everything merit badge.

Spring Forward to Eagle
Colorado Adventure Point's Spring Forward to Eagle courses are geared toward the following Eagle required merit badges:
- Citizenship in the Community
- Citizenship in the Nation
- Citizenship in the World
- Cooking
- Family Life
- Personal Management
- Personal Fitness
- First Aid
- Emergency Preparedness
All courses go over all the material required for the badge. When the Scout applies themselves, participates in class and completes assigned homework all requirements will be completed and the badge will be earned.
Spring Forward to Eagle courses are very popular and book up quickly. There are no wait lists and walk-in's are not accepted.

Other Merit Badge Classes
On occasion, Colorado Adventure Point offers many fun and exciting merit badge classes in addition to the ones listed above. These classes go over all the material required for the badge. When the Scout applies themselves and participates in class, the badge is earned.
